You could get your Prepaid Plan paid off by enrolling early!

It’s time! Open Enrollment has just started here at Florida Prepaid, and we’re celebrating like we never have before: We’re going to pay off one early purchaser’s Prepaid Plan. That’s right! Anyone who purchases a Prepaid Plan now through November 30 will be automatically entered to win the gift of college from Florida Prepaid with the Winner’s Plan being paid off through the 2017 Florida Prepaid “Pay Off Your Plan” Promotion.

Did you catch the early date? Open enrollment actually continues through February 28, 2018, but this promotion is good only for those who complete enrollment by November 30, 2017.

Consider this our way of adding oomph to the message that we consistently share: There’s never a better time to start saving for college than right now. The earlier you save, the more affordable it is, and the better the chance that your future graduate could avoid college debt.

Here’s a word from our Executive Director Kevin Thompson: “With our decision to pay off one family’s plan, there is truly no better time to invest in your child’s college education than now.  Ask yourself, ‘What’s our plan?’ If you don’t yet have a plan for how to pay for college, now is the time to act.”

More than 450,000 students have gone to college using Florida Prepaid Plan benefits.

A side note: If you enrolled in a 2017-2018 Prepaid Plan on or after March 1, 2017, and your Plan became active on October 15, you will automatically be eligible for this promotion as well. Congratulations, early bird!

So what can you expect when you sign up for Florida Prepaid? The enrollment process takes about 10-15 minutes. You’ll need some basic personal information — address, date of birth, Social Security Number — for both yourself as the account owner and for the future college student.

When you sign up for your plan, you’re given the option of paying in one lump sum, over 5 years, or monthly until high school graduation. The monthly payment will be in your contract and will be the same until the child is ready to use the Plan. Monthly Prepaid Plan prices remain near historic lows with newborn plan prices ranging from $47 to $187 per month, providing a variety of affordable options for families.  Also, your first payment will not be due until April 2018.

In addition – when it’s time for your student to attend college – Florida Prepaid pays the school directly, so that’s one less thing on your to-do list.  Now that’s planning ahead!

More than 1 million families have purchased Florida Prepaid College Plans. Join them today!
