§ Florida Prepaid College Plans offers two different plans: the Florida Prepaid
College Plan and the Florida 529 Savings Plan. The Florida Prepaid College Plan
is a prepaid plan and is guaranteed by the State of Florida pursuant to s. 1009.98(7),
Florida Statutes. Florida’s state universities and state colleges may impose fees
not covered by the Prepaid Plans described above. The Florida 529 Savings Plan is
a college savings plan, is not guaranteed, principal and investment returns will
fluctuate, and you could lose all or a portion of your investment. Participation
in the Florida 529 Savings Plan will be sold only by means of a Disclosure Statement
and Participation Agreement. A copy of each will be sent to you upon request; you
should read them before investing. Nothing in this advertisement should be construed
as financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Consult your own advisors before
investing.
NOTE: Beginning May 29, 2013, you will have the opportunity to choose from a total of 11 Florida 529 Savings Plan investment options, compared to the five options currently available. These new options will allow you to choose from a greater variety of investments based on your personal preference and savings goals. In addition, the $50 application fee to open an account will be waived through June 30, 2013.
