Approved Colleges
The Florida Prepaid College Foundation scholarships can be used at any of Florida's 12 state universities and
28 Florida Colleges (formerly known as community colleges).
They may also be used at a private college, out-of-state college or select technical school. The prepaid plan benefits
may be applied toward any eligible educational institution as defined in s. 529 of the Internal Revenue Code. The
prepaid plan will pay the same rate payable under the scholar’s plan to a public university or college in Florida.

* Florida Prepaid College Plan benefits may be applied to any eligible educational institution, as
defined in s. 529 of the Internal Revenue Code. The Board will transfer an amount not to exceed the
current average rates payable under the Beneficiary’s contract to a State University or Florida College.

The Federal School Code Search through Federal Student Aid, an office of the U.S. Department of Education,
provides a comprehensive list of schools which meet the Title IV funding requirements of eligible educational
institutions. Additionally, you may also ask the school’s financial aid office if the school is eligible,
even if it elects not to participate, to receive Title IV funding.
