Project STARS Donor Information
The Stanley Tate Project STARS (Scholarship Tuition For At-Risk Students) is the Foundation’s largest
program, representing 88% of the Foundation’s more than 32,000 scholarships. Project STARS is a matching
scholarship program funded annually by the Florida Legislature and matched dollar-for-dollar by private
sector donations. The program targets low-income students who are at risk of dropping out of school and
gives them an incentive and opportunity to plan and prepare for college.
Project STARS donors include a notable group of public school foundations, school districts, community
groups, businesses and other 501(c)3 organizations that are dedicated to providing the children of Florida
with guidance and educational opportunities.
