To celebrate 529 College Savings Day, all babies born in Florida on May 29, 2026, will receive a $529 scholarship in a Florida Investment 529 Plan.
A $529 seed planted at birth can grow alongside a child, reminding families that it’s never too early to start planning for the future.
Each family with a baby born on May 29 will receive an email with details about how to claim their scholarship prize.
Any family that does not receive an email by June 30, 2026, please contact our Customer Service team by online chat, or telephone at (800) 552-4723.
How to Claim Your Scholarship
- Click the yellow Get Started button in the upper right hand corner of the MyFloridaPrepaid.com website
- Select I’m a new customer and create your login
- Enroll in an Investment 529 Plan → choose Traditional → select an investment strategy (most families choose the Enrollment Year Portfolio)
- Verify your residency
- Enter the promo code you received by email, and choose Set Up Online Payments Later
- Click Complete Enrollment
No SSN or payment required right away — you can add those later.
