All kindergarten students who were present for at least 90% of school days from February 17 to Friday, May 2, 2025 are winners!

Every kindergarten student who met the 90% attendance challenge goal during the above time frame is eligible to receive a special promotional code for a $100 prize to jump-start their college savings in a Florida 529 Savings Plan.

Plus, three kindergarten students from each Hillsborough County Public School have been randomly selected to receive a $1,000 college scholarship into a Florida 529 Savings Plan.

Do I need to contribute funds to open a Florida 529 Savings Plan for my child?
You may open your new Savings Plan without contributing any funds, however, you may contribute funds if you wish, now or in the future. There is also a gifting option that allows you to invite friends and family to contribute to your child’s new college savings plan.

How will these funds be invested?
More than 80% of families choose the simple Enrollment Year Portfolio investment option, however you may choose any option you prefer.

Where do I enter the promo code?
You must enter your promo code on the “checkout” screen during enrollment to receive your account contribution.

What if my student already has a Florida 529 Savings Plan?
If your student already has an account and you wish to claim your $100 prize or $1,000 scholarship, please email [email protected] with the following information:

What if my student already has a Prepaid Plan, but does not yet have a Savings Plan?

How can I use the funds in my Florida 529 Savings Plan?
Funds in your Florida 529 Savings Plan can be used for a wide variety of higher education expenses at most schools nationwide, public or private, including colleges, universities, trade and technical schools. Qualified expenses include tuition and fees, housing, meal plans, books, and supplies, as well as computers and equipment.

What is the deadline?
All prizes must be claimed by June 15, 2025. Prizes will be funded by July 1, 2025.
